Did you know there is a second baptism? Many people have heard of water baptism but have not heard of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The apostles were told by Jesus to wait in Jerusalem after He rose from the dead. In Acts 1:5 He said “’John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.’” In Acts 1:8 He goes on to say “’you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’” Then in Acts 2:1-4 we see this promise come to pass. It says “when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Immediately the apostles began to minister to people outside of where they were and Peter gives a Spirit filled sermon where thousands came to the Lord. It also says in Acts 2:43 that “many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.” They received power to become witnesses for Him throughout the world after they were baptized in the Holy Ghost. This was something that was prophesied by John the Baptist years before. In Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist said “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” We see the same account in Luke 3:16 where John the Baptist says “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” John was talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is also called the infilling of the Holy Spirit. In acts 19 we see Paul speaking to some disciples about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In acts 19:1-7 it says “And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?’ So they said to him, ‘We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.’ And he said to them, ‘Into what then were you baptized?’ So they said, ‘Into John’s baptism.’ Then Paul said, ‘John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.’ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all.” The baptism of the Holy Ghost is often-times accompanied by speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues sometimes comes later for the baptized believer. Speaking in tongues is speaking in your own prayer language and it builds you up. You will begin to operate in the power of the Holy Ghost once you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
I personally was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 2009. I immediately began to operate in more power through the Holy Spirit once that happened. I began to receive revelation from the bible and I began seeing visions and having prophetic dreams more frequently. After receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost I became more effective as a minister as well. I also began to speak in tongues about 3 months after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. This is what the Lord was speaking about in Jude 1:20-21. These scriptures say “but you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God.” Praying in the Holy Spirit means praying in tongues. It is a prayer language that is unique to you and helps you build yourself up. Ask the Lord for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to speak in tongues. It will change your life. Blessings!

Every person has a purpose and a calling. Your purpose in life is great! Your purpose in life is to be in union, fellowship, and relationship with God. You purpose is to be in unity with Him as it was in the beginning. This is your highest purpose in life. This was the reason you were created and the purpose of your existence.
Your calling is what most people wonder about although it is separate/different from your purpose. Your calling is what God wants you to do in life. It is unique to you. Some people are called to do business while others may be called to be teachers. Your calling is what the Lord wants you to do in life and comes out of an overflow of your relationship with God. Being in union with God is your purpose and what you do in life should come out of the overflow of that love that comes from your union with God (or relationship). Many people's calling is different but it comes from the Lord. It is easy to find your calling in life. Spending time with God will not only help you to find what it is your called to do, but it will help you in fulfilling it. God has great plans for you and he is wanting you to discover them. He has a plan for every person. His thoughts are thoughts of peace toward you, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jer 29:11). Spend time with the Lord today and ask him what it is you are called to do in this life. Be blessed! In John 3:16 the bible says that "God so loved the world." God loves each and every person in the world. Furthermore, God tells us about His love for us in other scriptures. 1 John 3:1 says “behold what manner of Love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” God has bestowed a great love upon all because He has given all the ability to become His children. He did this because He loves us. We also see the love that God has for us in His coming to the earth. In 1 John 4:9 the word says “in this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” God wanted to give us the chance to live so He sent His son into the world to die for us. He did this because of the great love which He has for you. The bible says He died for the sins of everyone in the world (1 John 2:2). We can see from these scriptures that God loves you. God loves you with an unconditional love. He loves you no matter what your past or how bad you think you may have sinned. God loves you and wants to be your savior. If you don’t know God you can invite Him into your heart and get born again and receive eternal life. Just read my post about salvation. Blessings!
Love can be defined as an intense feeling of deep affection. In 1 John 4:7, the word says that “love is of God.” The Greek word for “of” in that verse is “ek.” The meaning of “ek” is having it’s origins in and originating from. So this scripture says that love has it’s origins in and originates from God. God is the source of love. Loves comes from Him.
This love is different from what we see as love. God’s love is unconditional and there are no strings attached. It is not based on your performance and this love does not change. The love we see between people can change and it is conditional. True love is unconditional. The truth is there is no such thing as conditional love. If it’s conditional, it’s not love. Conditional love is slavery. You have to perform to be loved. A lot of times people love other people based on their actions but God loves each and every person in the world at all times. God loves you. You are continually and perpetually loved. In any state or condition you are in, you are loved. You are eternally loved. Not only that, but you have always been loved. Sin does not dictate whether you are loved or not. God hates sin and dealt with sin on the cross so that He could spend eternity with you. In your worst moments, in the darkest hours of your life, you were loved. There will never be a time when He doesn’t love you. You were created to be loved by Him. Blessings! God is the creator of the universe. He is before all things and by him all things consist (Col 1:17). All things were created by Him and for Him (Col 1:16). He exists in three persons- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He has lived forever and has no beginning or end. At his core, He is only good. He is the Father of all creation who is good in nature. He is an all knowing and omnipresent God. He is light and He is love. God came to the earth in the form of a man. His name was Jesus. The bible says that the fulness of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) dwells in Him bodily (Col 2:9). Jesus is God. He is the express image of God and He upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). When we look at Jesus, we are looking at the exact image of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. The bible says that Jesus came to the earth to take away the sins of the world (1 John 4:10). His mission was to become the savior of the world by taking our sins on the cross for us. He is a kind and loving God who wants to be in relationship with you. If you haven’t been born again, then read my post about salvation and pray the prayer of salvation to receive eternal life. Be blessed! The bible says that we all must be saved. Salvation comes by believing on Jesus. We needed to be saved from the judgement and punishment of our sins, which is death. The bible says "all have sinned" (Rom 3:23). God, who is the judge of the universe, as a just God needed to punish sin. The bible says that Jesus became the propitiation for our sins. This means that he took the punishment for our sins and we became saved from having to pay for them ourselves. Why would he do this? Ephesians 2:4 tells us. It says that God did it "because of His great love with which He loved us." Jesus also said that "God so loved the world" in John 3:16. God had such a great love for us that He sent his son to die in our place so that we wouldn't be condemned to eternal destruction and separation from God. The punishment for your sins was put on Jesus and he literally took your sins in his own body. How do you accept this payment for your sins? How do you become saved from eternal destruction? The bible says "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10:9). Pray this prayer with me to receive salvation:
Lord Jesus I confess that I am a sinner. I accept your payment for my sins on the cross. I make you my Lord and Savior Come into my heart and fill me with your Holy Spirit and fire. Make me a new creation now in Jesus name. Friend if you prayed that prayer you just got born again and became a new creation (2 Cor 5:17). You are now a child of God and have been forgiven of all your sins. Your sins past, present, and future have all been atoned for in the work of Jesus and are all washed away by His blood. His blood is the most powerful cleansing agent in the universe. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you where your home church is. The Lord said not to forsake the gathering of the believers in Hebrews 10:25. You have a special place in the body of Christ and you just need to ask the Lord where it is. Look for a spirit filled church that believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. You also want to get a bible and began reading the word of God. The bible says about itself that the words in it are "life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh" (Prov 4:22). I would recommend the New King James Version because it is a very accurate translation and is easy to read. Welcome to the family of God! Your life will never be the same.
